The Cottonwood Countdown: Nelson Backyard Ultra takes place at Cottonwood Lake Regional Park outside of Nelson, British Columbia, Canada on Thanksgiving Weekend, starting Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. Same loop, day and night: a deceptively tough gravel-surface out-and-back rail trail through the forest, beside a mountain lake, and turning around in meadow with ponds, mountain views, (and occasionally grizzly bears!). Bronze Coin event: winner gets an entry to the BC Backyard Silver Coin race in April, in Sicamous, BC. Check out the details at www.nelsonbackyardultra.ca
